A blob can be viewed by right clicking on the blob (bytea) column in a grid:

You can launch the viewer from the grids form view tab by clicking the button next to the blob field.
Once loaded you can view the blob as Hex,text and four different image formats(gif,bmp,png,jpg).
You can also load new binary data into the field with the viewer.
